Human trafficking is alive and well even in todays day and age. Of course most of us cannot even contemplate human trafficking in 2013!? But the human trafficking choice is officially the Eurostar.
Children are being bought and sold and transported via Eurostar between the UK and France/Belgium.
Children between 12 and 17 are allowed by Eurostar to travel without a parent or guardian.
THIS IS HOW IT WORKS:
Immigrants are brought into the UK claiming refugee status, they are then sold on via brokers to all over Europe to work in factories. Companies contract out to these smaller child slave companies so as not to be directly employing children, thus avoid legal issues. Then consumers like you and me enjoy brands which are made in France, made in Italy, made in Spain ect ect. Why doesnt Eurostar do something about this?
Or maybe the companies benefiting from child slavery are paying off Eurostar to turn a blind eye. Its all about the money.
